The new family is not at all mum + dad + 2 kids, but a couple without children, according to researcher Marc McCrindle who spoke on this on morning TV today. This is of course of interest for supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths, who need to rethink "family size" and create a smooth way to shop for two. All food producers have to keep an eye on package sizes and flavors. Not everything has to be child friendly! Refreshing.
